Press Release 5/26/04 Countdown to HBA Reunion II The second incarnation of the Hoching Basketball Association's bi-annual Reunion tournament will be held this Friday and Saturday. Two years ago an undersized Blue team led by Peter Kang defeated Green in a classic overtime final, 17-15. Last year's HBA Summer League was dominated by White team, whose trio of Neeraj Patel, Jeff Hsieh, and Jeremy Doodanauth were never really challenged in the playoffs, going an impressive 7-1. Red team's Doc Healey, a statistical monster in the regular season, never had the pieces around him to make a championship run. This year's Reunion tournament features several new, unproven superstars like Mark Kiang and Rich Park, as well as a few returning players like Rishi Laroia (Green team, Reunion I). With Blue and White teams’ core players returning, will either past championship team make a run at the title this year? Will Healey finally be able to break the first round with his new and improved supporting cast? Or will the new superstars come in and steal the show?
