Pumpkins, ghosts, trick or treating. It seems that we are all too old for that stuff. Many of us have to make the decision of whether or not to have fun, try to be cool and not do anything, or sit at home and hand out candy to the neighborhood kids. It's hard for some of us to identify with a holiday so associated with young kids, dressing up, and the joy of getting candy and rejoicing when we get a watermelon flavored blow pop. What do teens do these days on Halloween?

One thing that teens do is go to theme parties and things like Fright Fest at Great Adventure. Some of the older teens have masquerade balls or fun parties in which there are semi-Halloween related activities. Parties on Halloween allow us to just go out and have fun without the fear of people coming up to us and asking if we are high because we are acting stupid. Having fun in our own way on Halloween is one of the greatest advantages of such a holiday. Halloween is the one-day in the year where weird is good and no one can judge you on what you are doing or how you are acting.

Another thing teens do is trick or treating… or maybe not. You will very seldom find teens these days going out and trick or treating. Trick or treating is considered childish and many people don't do it. But some teens still do, sometimes as a joke or just a simple stress reliever. If you are stressed out this Halloween just go out and trick or treat with some good buds. It'll cheer you up.

One big thing that many teens will do this Halloween is… surprise…studying. For some people, Halloween is a time for just having fun,  but for others it is a chance to study for an upcoming test, review for an exam, or study for SAT's. For some teens, Halloween is not important to them and is just like any other day of the year.

Teenagers do all types of activities on Halloween. It is important to know that Halloween is really a time to have some fun, to be uninhibited and be able to do all the weird things you wanted to do but couldn't. So let the kid in you come out this Halloween. Go to a party or just go out with your friends. Halloween is guaranteed fun… enjoy the scariest day of the year.
